The Coimbra Group Universities offer short-term research visits (usually from 1 to 3 months) for young researchers from higher education institutions in the European Neighbourhood.

🔹 Objective of the Program:

The program aims to support researchers in conducting research relevant to their home institutions while helping them establish academic and research contacts in Europe.

🔹 Eligible Countries for the 2025 Edition:

Albania, Algeria, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Egypt, North Macedonia, Georgia, Israel, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, Libya, Moldova, Montenegro, Morocco, Palestinian Authority, Russia, Serbia, Syria, Tajikistan, Tunisia, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan.

• University of Graz (Austria)

• University of Würzburg (Germany)

🔹 Eligibility Criteria:

• Born on or after January 1, 1990.
• Citizen and current resident of one of the eligible countries.
• Academic staff member at a university or equivalent higher education institution in an eligible country.
• Possession of a postdoctoral or equivalent status (some institutions may accept PhD candidates).
• Must have a letter or email of acceptance from the academic supervisor at the host institution (this document is mandatory).
• Applications must be submitted through the Coimbra Group Office's online application system.
• Applicants may apply to only one university; multiple applications will not be considered.
• All information must be submitted in English.
